Sign-in & account
How you sign in decides what you can do. Wallet sign-in unlocks everything; email sign-in covers trading but not the actions that need your wallet’s own signature.
Ways to sign in
- Sign in with a Solana walletLivePhantom or Solflare signs one message to prove the address is yours. It costs nothing and sends no transaction.
- Email and password sign-inLiveAn account without a browser wallet.
- Google sign-inComing soonContinue with Google.
What needs wallet sign-in
- Exporting an in-app wallet’s private key (why).
- Permanent launch choices: holder rewards, Mayhem, token pairs, fee sharing and the OTC route (why).
Recovery
- Password reset and verification emailsComing soonReset a forgotten password or verify your address by email.
Email accounts: keep your password safe
Reset emails are not being sent yet, so a forgotten password can’t be recovered by email today. Store it in a password manager. A wallet sign-in has nothing to forget: your wallet is the login.
Staying safe
- Chartist only asks for a private key or seed phrase when you choose Import on the Wallets page. Nobody from Chartist will ever ask you for one.
- Check that you are on chartist.cc before you sign anything.
- Sign-in messages never move funds. If a request asks to send SOL, it isn’t a sign-in.
Wallet sign-in proves who you are; it doesn’t move your connected wallet’s funds into Chartist. In-app wallets are separate wallets you create on Wallets.
