Short answers to the questions people ask first.
Which coins can I trade?
pump.fun coins on the bonding curve, and on PumpSwap after they graduate. PumpSwap trading is in beta: a fix for graduated coins went live on 5 October, and no graduated-coin trade has been re-confirmed since. Other Solana tokens, StonkFun and Meteora coins are coming soon.
Is Chartist custodial?
In-app wallets are: Chartist holds their keys, sealed in an isolated signing service, so trades go through without a pop-up. If you trade from Phantom or Solflare instead, Chartist never holds that key. Custody & keys has the details.
Can I take my keys out?
Yes. Export any in-app wallet’s private key from the Wallets page while signed in with your Solana wallet, and import it into any wallet app. Email-only accounts can’t export.
What does a trade cost?
Chartist takes 1% of each buy or sell. pump.fun charges its own fee on top (about 1.25% on the bonding curve), plus Solana’s network fee. See Fees.
A trade failed. Did I pay?
Chartist’s fee is part of the trade’s own transaction, so if the trade fails, the fee fails with it. A transaction that fails on-chain can still cost Solana’s small network fee. Many failures are caught before anything is sent, and those cost nothing.
Can I launch a coin today?
Yes, in beta. Pressing Fire in the launch designer sends a real launch: it creates the coin and spends real SOL, and it can’t be recalled. A launch from the app has not yet completed end to end on mainnet, so start small. See Launching.
Can I run the market maker or a volume campaign?
Not yet. Both are built and you can design a run, but they don’t start on chartist.cc yet and no funds move. See Automation.
Why does the app show tools that don’t work yet?
Some tools that are switched off, like the market maker and volume campaigns, are open so you can plan with them. Each one says it can’t start yet and moves no funds until it is switched on. Beta tools, like the launch designer, are different: they move real funds. These docs label every feature the same way.
Which wallets can I connect?
Phantom and Solflare.
Is there a mobile app?
You can install Chartist from your browser (Add to Home Screen). A native iOS app is built, but not yet available to install.
Is there an API?
Yes: scoped agent API keys for bots and AI agents, and a keyless public API.
I forgot my password.
Password-reset emails aren’t being sent yet, so an email account can’t be recovered by email today. Wallet sign-in avoids the problem entirely.
Is any of this investment advice?
No. Memecoins are extremely risky and most go to zero. Read Risks & disclosures before you trade.
